Minecs is a Consulting and Technical Assistance Company focused on mining, quarrying and mineral transforming , operating as service exporter.
Minecs was founded in 2011 by Eng. Abdelhamid AMRI, expert in the mining sector, graduated as a mining engineer in 1982 at Alès Mining School (France) He has over 30 years of experience in mining and mine planning : 10 years at Compagnie des Phosphates de Gafsa and 20 years as Director of Development and Mineral Transforming at the Ministry of Industry, Tunisia.
Mr Abdelhamid AMRI has sharp expertise in phosphate mining and transforming. Among his references, he audited a bancable feasibility study of a large phosphate project (Bn$ 4) in Saudi Arabia (2021-2022). In 2023 he was appointed by the largest Russian phosphate producer to implement a mining expertise report needed by The International Arbitration Tribunal (ICC) to help solving the dispute between the mining operator and a German equipment supplier (more than 40 Millon Euro for compensation). After site visit and full investigation, the report was implemented and supported by Mr Abdelhamid AMRI in front of the Trbunal (Zurich) during cross examination hearing, gaining full satisfaction of the client.
Moreover, Mr Abdelhamid AMRI expertise allowed him to gain operators and universities confidence by involving him to improve students and engineers skills. During 2010-2011 he was appointed as stand-in teacher at Faculté des Sciences de Tunis where he teached Mining Engineering and Mine Planning for graduate engineering students. Later, in 2021-2022 he was appointed by Compagnie des Phosphate de Gafsa for 7 months to conduct a training cycle for more than 50 engineers allowing them to gain mining engineering know how and prictical skills.
Since 2022 up to now, is appinted as part time teacher (on line) at Mining and Metallurgy School of Moanda, E3MG (Gabon) teaching mining engineering.
Within his function as founder and general manager of Minecs, Mr Abdelhamid AMRI conducted several mining projects studies (see our references) and implementaed numerous technical assistance missions for mining operators in Tunisia and Africa.
Besides, Mr Abdelhamid AMRI has full knowledge of environmental issues related to phosphate mining and transforming. In 2019, he was appointed as a mining expert by Ramboll Danmark A/S (Danish consulting company) to contribute studying the Depollution of the Phosphate Gafsa Basin (study funded by European Investment Bank).
Minecs staff members are specialized in mining engineering and geosciences and have large experience and skills related to mining, quarrying, and phosphate transforming sector.
Minecs services include studies, technical assistance and training for other sectors, owing its agreements signed with free-lance senior experts in industry, and energy (conventional and renewables).
